Wah Yuet (Ng's) Group Holdings Limited is the largest OEM manufacturer in the global lock industry. Mr. K.S. Ng, Chairman of the Group, embarked on his career in lock industry in Hong Kong.
May 1980
Right after the implementation of Reform and Open policy in Mainland China, Mr. Ng, as a pioneering investor, expanded his business to Mainland China, moving production from Hong Kong to Shenzhen PRC.
Early 1990s
Master Lock Company in US has made volume purchases from Wah Yuet since early 1990s. Today, about 90% of the products Master Lock outsources are made by Wah Yuet.
Mid 1990s
Wah Yuet had achieved continued growth in both European and North American markets. To satisfy the increasing demand, Wah Yuet launched another business expansion. With fervent love for hometown, Mr. K.S. Ng decided to establish an integrated production plant in Taishan.
1996
1st phase of Taishan production plant was completed and put into operation. The new plant site fully manifested a unique blend of modern setting and garden-like layout.
2001
We were accredited with ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001 certification. Since then, Wah Yuet's leading position in high-end door hardware manufacturing in Asia was firmly reinforced.
2004
Our in-house laboratory was certified by Intertek the compliance of standard for BHMA testing. Equivalent qualification can be hardly found in our fellow manufacturers in Southeast Asia.
Early 2005
The ramp up of fully automatic plating line and polishing facilities represented a milestone for the advancement of our finishing technology. Today, Wah Yuet is capable of processing over 30 prevailing finishes.
Mid 2005
Taishan plant site was expanded to over 3,000,000 square feet and had highly integrated facilities installed for product development, testing, surface finishing and mass production. Modern facilities and skillful personnel teamed up to take our capability and capacity onto a new stage.
August 2006
Wah Yuet became a member of Kaba Group, publicly listed in Switzerland since 1995. Kaba Group is a technology leader in the worldwide security industry specialized in integrated solutions for security and access system and innovative electronic security products. |
